Health at Hand®, Scottish Ballet

We are delighted to be offering another block of free online wellbeing sessions for NHS Lothian staff in partnership with Scottish Ballet.

These free online wellbeing sessions provide a great opportunity to take a break from everyday challenges, be present in the moment by focusing on movement, position and breathing, and letting go of stressful thoughts.

Even if you weren’t able to participate in the previous sessions, you can still sign up and take part! No experience is required. Sign up by completing the form below.

Feedback has been extremely positive with participants finding the movement exercises to be both fun and enjoyable as well as beneficial for physical and mental health.

These sessions were very accessible and easy for all levels to join in with. Afterwards I felt more invigorated and positive both mentally and physically.”

We do understand that it can be difficult to attend these sessions with conflicting demands and changing shift patterns. We would still encourage you to sign up so that you have a standing appointment in your diary as an incentive, but if you do have to miss the session, we will have a recording available for one week after the session takes place. We ask that you do not make or keep copies of the session recordings.

Before taking part in the sessions, we advise that you:

  • Check your surrounding area for any trip or slip hazards
  • Are wearing clothes and footwear you can move comfortably in
  • Can easily reach your arms out to the side and above without touching anything
  • Have some drinking water to hand
  • Only do what feels safe and comfortable for you

You can stop at any point; do what feels comfortable for you.
