BOLD by Caroline Sikkenk

A photography exhibition highlighting the experiences of women living with breast cancer including patients from the Western General Hospital.
We are delighted to work in partnership with the Pink Ribbon Foundation to present BOLD by Caroline Sikkenk as part of our Hospital Exhibition Programme.
This bold and courageous international Photography Exhibition celebrates the strength and beauty of women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Previously shown in London’s Piccadilly Circus and Waterloo Station, New York’s Times Square, Glasgow’s Princess Square, and the Scottish Parliament, it now continues its powerful journey of visibility and empowerment into a hospital environment in solidarity with all affected patients and their families.
The exhibition includes portraits of women from Scotland, including model Jackie McRae, who had received their treatment at the Western General Hospital adding a deeply personal and local connection.
Lisa Allen, from the Pink Ribbon Foundation said:
The Pink Ribbon Foundation is proud to be partnering with the Western General to bring each of the moving portraits in this exhibition to a setting where they can provide inspiration and strength.
“We see this as a truly fitting location for BOLD and are grateful to everyone involved for helping us bring the exhibition back to Edinburgh and to a unique place like the Tonic Arts Gallery.”
