Our Participation programme encompasses a wide range of art forms, bringing the transformative power of the arts to patients, caregivers and staff in healthcare settings across NHS Lothian. It inspires individuals, helping them to connect and communicate, encouraging them to become more involved and enhancing personal development and wellbeing.
Our Exhibitions programme aims to showcase a dynamic and diverse range of artworks including patient and staff work alongside professional and commissioned work. Find out how the programme enhances patient and staff wellbeing and can become a resource for rehabilitation.

Who is it for?

These sessions are suitable for current Network members and any NHS Lothian staff or voluntary sector partners who feel passionately about the benefits of the arts and creativity and their potential to improve health and wellbeing.

We will be running a series of events throughout the year to connect people and practice across NHS Lothian and beyond. We are finalising some of the details, but in the meantime, please save the dates:

Tonic Arts & Green Health Staff Wellbeing Network Event: Tuesday, 14 May 2024 (in person at the Broch at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital)
Tonic Arts Collection & Enhancements: Tuesday, 11 June and Wednesday, 12 June 2024 (online, same event on both dates)
